She wheeled on him, glaring. “The prince must live. I want Cytheria to taste the bitter flavor of betrayal. I want her hopes to be dashed by the boy she thought would save her precious daughter.”

She waved for them to go. The time for her revenge drew nigh, and she needed all her cards in place. But even if Nathaniel wasn’t the huntress’ betrothed, at least there would be one less White running around.
